About Us

Cullina N.S.

Cullina National School is a Catholic, co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry. It is situated approximately seven miles from Killarney and nestled under the shadow of Ireland’s highest mountain-Carrauntuohill.

The school aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all pupils: cognitive, intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people and promotes a Christian philosophy of life.

There are 14 teachers, including the principal, 7 classroom teachers, 4 SEN teachers and 2 teachers in Special Education classrooms. The school caters for the full range of classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class.

The school follows the curriculum as laid down by the Department of Education and Science.  All subjects are provided- Gaeilge, English, Mathematics, Social, Environmental and Scientific Education (SESE), Visual Arts, Physical Education, Music, Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE), Drama and Religion.
